A structured approach to moving your team from idea to impact.

Your mission isn’t yours alone

It belongs to your team, your board, your key stakeholders and your loyal clients. That’s why it’s so critical to get it right.

The Impact Flow Accelerator (IF Accelerator) was designed with this in mind. We know that the moving parts to your organizational success require clear and confident attention. That’s where we’ll begin.

You've got more ideas than time to implement them

How do you pick the right projects and achieve positive impact quickly in a world where true need and sense of urgency that goes with it are growing?

The ideas you choose to implement and your ability to bring them to life determine your organization’s credibility and success.

YOU *COULD* KEEP WORKING AS YOU DO NOW

Without a quick-to-use system that you are confident in for allocating precious time and resources.

Without clear decision-making roles and authority.

Without an agreed-upon way to keep all functional areas coordinated and moving toward your goals.

Without an easy way to spot and repair areas of friction that slow your team’s path to impact.

Ensure your organization is moving forward with no area left behind

Track progress and pinpoint areas in need of support

Keep your team aligned and accountable while respecting their authority

Assess your organization’s capacity to take on more work

Select projects and programs most aligned with your vision and mission

IMPACT FLOW

how it works

The IF Accelerator is a program in 4 stages. Adopt as much or as little as makes sense for you and your organization.

01

Level one can take as little as two hours to complete.

  1. Who decides which projects to take on?
  2. What criteria are used to decide?

Thinking through these two questions sets you and your team up for faster, more inclusive and consistent decision making. When you are finished with Level One, you will have:

  1. A decision-making team who understands their roles
  2. A written set of decision-making criteria

In Level One, we will establish IF foundations by answering these 2 questions:

level one

02

level two

  1. Meeting practices
  2. Project cadences

Once you’ve decided to take on a program, how often will the project team review progress? How will they do that?

What meeting practices will the team follow to ensure clarity in the least amount of time?

When you are finished with Level Two, you will have:

  1. An agreed-upon set of meeting practices, including who is going to prepare what ahead of time
  2. An agreed-upon cadence and format for project reviews.

In Level Two, we build on your Level One foundations by creating:

03

Level three

  1. Program phases
  2. The needs of each functional area moving through these phases

In Level Three you’ll design a flexible framework that works for your organization – and what to do when things get out of sync or behind.

When Level Three is completed you and your team will have a clear and detailed roadmap to program completion – time to impact – that makes it easy to spot areas in need of support or synchronization.

In Level Three we build on Levels One and Two by setting a framework that keeps all functions moving in alignment. In Level Three, we will define:

04

Level four

  1. Understanding your team’s capacity to take on more work
  2. Increasing project impact using communications

When you have completed Level Four, you and your team will have an agreed-upon understanding of organizational capacity – and burst capacity.

Level 4 builds two more nuanced but game-changing skills:

You will also have your own list of communications practices – and when you’ll use them – to maximize the value and impact of your programs.

THIS IS RIGHT FOR YOU

IF:

LET'S DO A LITTLE PRE-CHECK

You want your projects to achieve impact sooner

You want your people to show up to meetings prepared

You don’t have a quick way to see what’s happening across your organization

You want the time your team spends together to be substantive and rich

You find yourself doing projects that do not directly support your
mission or goals

You want to include your community and employees in more decision-making, but are worried this will slow things down or
confuse things too much

You are tired of “forcing” more work onto your team

You want a practical way for new employees to learn on the job

You want to make sure your team and organization get full credit for their work
